After working for several years as an electrician and being involved in other aspects of construction, my wife Kate and I decided to use our skills to buy, rehab and sell houses. While working as a real estate investor, I was able to hone my skills when it came to searching for homes and studying markets. I was also able to find the best ways to advertise the home once renovations were complete and what renovations provided the best returns.
After several years, I decided to get my real estate license so I could market our homes the way that I wanted. I wanted someone to put in the same kind of effort that I had put into these homes we had worked so hard to renovate. I also wanted to be able to go look at properties as quickly as possible since good deals don’t stick around for very long. After acting as an agent for a few close friends, the business quickly began to grow. I understand now more than ever how important it is to have a knowledgeable agent on your side whether you are buying your first home or the latest addition to your portfolio.
Having worked on the opposite end of Real Estate transactions, I understand what apprehensions people have when working with agents.
